Sean Nolan: Of Paris

Sale Price:$50.00 Original Price:$75.00
sale

While Paris has been a muse to many great photographers of the past: Atget, Cartier–Bresson, and Brassaï, in the fall of 2014, San Francisco Bay Area artist, Sean Nolan had the opportunity to spend five months exploring the city. Nolan’s philosophy was to go “behind,” “beyond,” and “around” with his camera to find new perspectives and create his vision of Paris. Inspired by the beauty of the city, Nolan’s critical eye for composition and his intuition to capture ephemeral moments led to this timeless collection of photographs.

The book contains seventy-two images with a foreword written by Harper Levine and an introduction by Sean Nolan. Of Paris keeps in the tradition of past Modernbook Editions books such as Hong Kong Yesterday, The Living Theatre by Fan Ho, San Francisco Then by Fred Lyon, and Searching for True North by Geir Jordahl.
